If you have long hair and you have grown it quite long, is that the reason you are wavering? If you do and decide to cut, donate your hair to an organization that makes wigs for children who have lost theirs through disease. I believe they can only use virgin hair, so this may not apply to you. Hope you are pleased with whichever way you decide.
